On a story page, open the review tools to leave:
- Overall stars (1–5) — required for your rating to count toward the public score.
- Optional category stars — story, characters, worldbuilding, writing, pacing.
- Recommend? — yes or no; this feeds Critically Acclaimed.
- Optional written review — other readers can mark it helpful.
You get one review per story; editing replaces the previous version. Guests can rate while browsing; signing in merges that progress into your account.
The public score on the story is a weighted, sample-aware roll-up — not a raw average. Progress in the story, review quality, Commons Trust, and anti-spam checks all shape how much your review moves the needle. Full walkthrough: How Ratings Work.
