Critically Acclaimed highlights stories people rate well and would recommend to a friend.
What feeds it
- The story’s public rating score (the weighted stars, not a raw one-star pile-up).
- How many ratings exist — a handful of glowing early reviews will not instantly crown a story.
- The share of raters who marked “I’d recommend this.”
Roughly half the signal is quality-with-enough-sample; the rest is recommend percent. That is why leaving a thoughtful recommend mark matters as much as the stars themselves.
Look for it on Collections and ranking boards that care about praise — not on “most opens this week.” For how stars become the public score, see How Ratings Work.
